LETI is hibernating
LETI is currently in hibernation, taking a well-earned break to recharge with an out of office message on all LETI email accounts.

Celebration of LETI's journey
We would like to take this moment to celebrate the LETI journey and how much our work has, and continues to have, influence over the aspirations of everyone in the built environment in tackling the climate emergency. Much of the recent LETI energy has been poured into the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UK NZCBS), which has successfully released the pilot version and is being developed into V1. Members of LETI will continue to be involved in the UK NZCBS alongside the other founding industry bodies - which is one of the only areas LETI will remain active during hibernation. For updates on UK NZCBS go to https://www.nzcbuildings.co.uk.

All of LETI’s publications and webinars will remain available on this website - continuing to support the construction industry to decarbonise. We also strongly encourage and support the continued use of the LETI research and targets to put the UK on a path to net zero carbon.
Our workstreams
In terms of our own outputs (publications, opinion pieces and events etc.) no new work will be produced while in hibernation. Bar those already planned and agreed to complete imminently. We unfortunately won't be able to endorse other's work, run CPDs etc. from this point onwards as it takes a collective to be able to represent the views of LETI.
Waking LETI
Anyone previously involved in LETI can put in a request to wake LETI via a re-boot email address (reboot@leti.uk). We anticipate this is most likely to be for a specific issue (such as a consultation we think we really have to respond to) but it could also be for something more involved like a publication. The 'reboot' email inbox will be monitored periodically and will require the following information to determine whether a reboot is possible, this should include:
→ What the key issue is that warrants the attention of LETI.
→ The proposed output of the work - opinion piece, publication, consultation response etc.
→ Who will be involved and how the work will be resourced to completion (including graphics), identifying contribution required from LETI volunteers
→ How the LETI mission and vision is to be adhered to uphold reputation
→ Why no other organisation is better placed (or reasonably placed) to publish it to address the issue
→ What your previous involvement in LETI was.
For the proposal to be accepted, at least two long-term LETI volunteers (of which one should be a director) would need to be willing to participate and sign off the activity.
This will be organised through the reboot@leti.uk email.

A BIG thank you!
Now to end with a huge thank you for donating, supporting, collaborating, and sharing your time, expertise and energy to make LETI what it is. None of this would have been possible without endless volunteers and supporters like yourselves!
